Ez Start Module – Remote Start Gx160/200/390/630/690

 

 

 

Installation:

Honda GX160/200/270

Notes: The engine will not start with the Key switch unless the ignition is turned on with the remote

In the event, the remote is lost or dead. Disconnect the Yellow wire from the remote box and return the wire back to factory connections.

 

To Connect Remote Start/Stop Box

 

Step 1. Connect the Red wire from the remote box to B+ on the starter solenoid.

Step 2. Connect the Black wire to the engine ground. (If possible use the same ground bolt as your main negative battery cable)

Step 3. Locate the Yellow wire with a bullet terminal on it coming out of the side of the engine. Disconnect this by carefully pulling the connection apart.

Step 4. Connect the yellow wire from the remote start box to each corresponding wire on the engine.

Step 5. Locate the black wire with a white stripe that has a bullet terminal on it coming out of the starter solenoid. Disconnect this by carefully pulling the connection apart.

Step 6. Connect the blue wire from the remote start box to each corresponding wire on the engine.

 

To Start the Engine

Step 1. Press “A” button on Remote. (This will turn the ignition on)

Step 2. Press and hold the “B” button this will turn the engine over. Once the engine has started release the “B” Button.

 

To Stop the Engine

Step 1. Press the “A” button on the remote. This will turn the ignition off and stop the engine

Notes: Key must be in the On position to Remote Start/Stop

 

To Connect Remote Start/Stop Box

 

Step 1. Connect the Red wire from the remote box to B+ on the starter solenoid.

Step 2. Connect the Black wire to the engine ground. (If possible, use the same ground bolt as your main negative battery cable)

Step 3. Locate blue t-tap connector place this on yellow wire coming out of the ignition box. See picture for how to install t-tap.

Step 4. Once t-tap is installed insert the connector from the orange wire into the t-tap

Step 5. Locate the black wire with a white stripe that has a spade terminal located on the back of the starter solenoid. Disconnect this by carefully pulling the connection apart.

Step 6. Connect the Green wire from the remote start box to each corresponding wire on the engine.

 

To Start the Engine

Step 1. Press “A” button on Remote. (This will turn the ignition on)

Step 2. Press and hold the “B” button this will turn the engine over. Once the engine has started release the “B” Button.

 

To Stop the Engine

Step 1. Press the “A” button on the remote. This will turn the ignition off and stop the engine.
