Description
The new and enhanced Wet & Forget outdoor concentrate moss, mould, lichen, and algae remover with hose end version is called Rapid Application.
What it does
Rapid Application has been made to be quicker and easier to use, yet it still functions exactly the same as the original Wet & Forget concentration! Rapid Application offers a special blend of biodegradable selective fungicides that are effective against lichen, algae, moss, mould, and other types of biological growth. Rapid Application eliminates the spores, just like the original Wet & Forget concentration. Over time, the weathering process gradually eliminates the decaying growth without harming the surface it has colonised.
Rapid Application:
- Works exactly the same way as the original Wet & Forget 5L concentrate.
- Comes in an easy, ready-to-use bottle.
- Has an automatic pre-set dilution.
- Easily connects to a standard garden hose.
- Reaches up to 8 metres (2 storeys).
- Is non-caustic, non-acidic and bleach free.
- Has a pH of 8 (Water has a pH of 7).
- Is biodegradable.
- Requires no scrubbing or water blasting.
- Covers a minimum of 100sq metres.
- Has an unlimited shelf life.
- Kills problem spores at the source and helps prevent premature regrowth.
Please note:
You cannot use the original Wet & Forget concentrate (blue) with the Rapid Application hose-end nozzle (pink). It will not work as the dilution rates are different!
Rapid Application PPE
While Rapid Application is a gentle cleaner, the use of protective equipment is still recommended when applying it to your surface.
When applying Rapid Application, please consider using the following equipment:
Questions?
Does the Fast Action work quicker than the original Wet and Forget
No, the time frame is exactly the same.
Does 2lts Rapid application cover less than an area of that compared to the 5lts original Wet and Forget
The 2L Rapid Application and the 5L Wet & Forget concentrate cover exactly the same area, it is just the dilution rates that are different. They both cover a minimum of 100sq metres.
If I am on tank water can i use Rapid Application?
You sure can, however, you must disconnect the water supply to your tank for at least 10mm of rain or 2 good downpours to remove the concentrate.
Will Rapid Application affect my pets?
Keep your animals off the treated surface until the product is dry to ensure that they don’t lick any of the product. If they accidentally walk or sit in the product, wash the affected areas with fresh water as a precaution.
Will rapid application damage my plants?
Rapid Application is okay to use around plants provided certain protective steps are taken. When spraying the product near plants, make sure to either cover them with a tarpaulin (or something similar) or alternatively, wash the plants down with water before and after applying the product nearby. The leaves of the plant may experience a slight discolouration or spot burn if they come into contact with the product for an extended period.
How much Rapid Application is required to clean a roof ?
The average 3 bedroom tile roof is approx. 150sq metres, however because of the undulations of the tile profile the actual area is a lot bigger. Therefore, an average tile/concrete roof would require 2 x Rapid Application, depending on how porous the surface is and how much biological growth is present. For an average 3 bedroom tile roof with lichen you would require 3 x Rapid Application depending on the total area covered with lichen. For best results spot spray the lichen, leave for 15 minutes and then respray the lichen and the entire roof to ensure the lichen fully absorbs the product. The first application is to dissolve the waxy surface and the 2nd spray will then penetrate the lichen. Your roof will normally take between 6-12 months to come clean. If you are on tank water, you will need to disconnect your water supply for a minimum of 10mm of rain or 2 decent downpours to flush away any product concentrate.
