Let’s discuss new generations and chemicals that fit a purpose, work extremely well and most of all are priced to give you freedom. Designed and tested by market leaders in Australia.

In order to safely and effectively remove dirt, grime, and other stains from surfaces, soft washing is a cleaning technique that makes use of a low-pressure system and specific chemicals. The success of the soft washing procedure depends on the proper chemical combination. At Blue Tongue Industries we have developed softwash portable systems, skid mounted softwash equipment from 12v to 24v, and even petrol-powered delivery units. The mixing of chemicals is done either through batch mixing, or our fully porportioned systems. A good softwash chemical should have the following qualities:

Effectiveness: The chemical should have sufficient strength to eliminate mold, dirt, and other stains from surfaces without causing any harm. In order to remove deeply embedded stains, it should also be able to enter the surface’s pores and fissures.

Versatility: The substance must be adaptable enough to operate on a range of surfaces, including wood, concrete, and walls as well as roofs.

Usefulness: The chemical should be simple to prepare and apply

Longevity: The substance should last a long time and continue to work as intended so that it can be preserved for future use without losing its cleaning ability.

Cost-effectiveness: The chemical must be economical, which means that it offers good value for the money spent by producing effective cleaning outcomes without consuming a lot of product.

Blue Tongue Industries with market-leading Softwash and Pressure Cleaning businesses have developed a new range to accompany your softwashing and pressure cleaning operation..

True Blue

True Blue is a type of degreaser that is known for its commercial strength and effectiveness in cleaning stubborn dirt. It is often used for heavy-duty cleaning tasks that require the removal of oil and grease. One of its advantages is that it is non-caustic, which means it does not contain harsh chemicals and can be used on a variety of surfaces.

True Blue’s versatility also makes it a popular choice for various industries such as automotive, manufacturing, and hospitality. It can be used on surfaces such as concrete floors, tiles, glass, machinery, and kitchen equipment.

It is important to note that while True Blue is effective, it should be used with caution and according to the manufacturer’s instructions. It is also recommended to wear protective gear such as gloves and eye protection when using the product.

Dilute True Blue as required and always test a delicate surface before use.

HouseWash

HOUSE WASH cleaner is specially formulated for washing the exterior of homes and other buildings. Also good for surface areas such as, webs, nests, grime from building exteriors, and general cleaning.

Directions – Ratios

House Wash Cleaning: Dilute 1.5lts of House Wash to 18lts of Water. In addition, Sticky Blue can be
added to add extra cling at a rate of 500mls – 1Litre in the above.

When mixing a house wash solution, there are several factors to consider. Below is some general information and considerations.

  1. Type of siding: Different types of siding may require different cleaning solutions. For example, delicate surfaces such as cedar or stucco may require a gentler solution, while vinyl siding may require a stronger solution to remove tough stains.
  2. Type of dirt and stains: Different types of dirt and stains may require different ratios of cleaning solutions. For example, algae, mildew, and mold may require a solution with a fungicide, sodium hypochlorite while oil and grease stains may require a degreaser.
  3. Environmental considerations: Some cleaning solutions can be harmful to plants and animals, so it’s important to choose a solution that is environmentally friendly and biodegradable.
  4. Cost: House wash solutions can range from inexpensive household cleaners to commercial-grade solutions. Consider the cost and determine what is affordable for you.
  5. Safety: Some cleaning solutions can be hazardous to handle and can cause skin irritation or respiratory problems. Choose a solution that is safe to handle and use.

It’s important to test any cleaning solution on a small, inconspicuous area of the house first, to ensure that it won’t damage the surface or the paint. Additionally, be sure to follow the instructions on any cleaning solution carefully, and wear protective clothing, such as gloves and goggles, when handling all products.

Hellfire

HELL FIRE Degreaser is a super concentrated & aggressive formula for heavy cleaning. Commonly used in industrial steam & pressure cleaning etc. HELL FIRE Degreaser is extremely aggressive & concentrated. Exercise caution when applying around painted surfaces. HELL FIRE Degreaser will damage duco.

  • Directions for use:
  • General, Heavy-Duty Degreasing; dilute 1 part to 6-10 parts water.
  • Steam & Pressure Cleaning; dilute 1 part to 10-60 parts water.
  • Carry out an initial test on a small area before use.

Caustic-based degreasers are cleaning agents that are used to remove grease, oil, and other types of soils from a variety of surfaces, including metals, plastics, and ceramics. They work by using a high-pH solution, typically sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), to dissolve and emulsify the grease and oil, which can then be rinsed away with water.

Caustic-based degreasers are commonly used in a variety of industrial and commercial applications, such as automotive and machinery cleaning, parts washing, and the cleaning of production equipment. They are also used in food processing facilities to clean equipment and surfaces that come into contact with food products.

It’s important to note that caustic-based degreasers can be hazardous to use, as the high pH of the solution can cause skin and eye irritation, and may even cause chemical burns. For this reason, it’s important to take appropriate safety precautions when using these products, such as wearing protective gloves and eye protection and avoiding skin contact. Additionally, it’s important to follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully and to use the product only in well-ventilated areas.

Sticky Blue

STICY BLUE is an environmentally friendly, biodegradable surfactant. It has been specially formulated to give you that extra vertical hold in your softwash solution.

STICKY BLUE TONGUE produces generous amounts of foam to prevent runoff and improve the dwell time of soft washing mixes on vertical and inclined surfaces. Do not overuse as the excess foam will increase rinse time.

  • DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Add 500mls – 1 litre to your HouseWash solution of 18 to 20 lts
  • Soaps and surfactants can cling and hold in a vertical position due to their surface tension and viscosity properties.

Surface tension refers to the property of a liquid that causes its surface to act as if it were a stretched elastic membrane. This tension allows a liquid to resist an external force that tries to break the surface. The surface tension of soap solutions is reduced compared to pure water due to the presence of the soap molecules, which can spread out at the liquid/air interface and reduce the tension.

Viscosity refers to a fluid’s resistance to flow. Soap solutions also have a higher viscosity compared to pure water, which makes them thicker and less prone to flow. When soap solution is placed in a vertical position, the combination of reduced surface tension and increased viscosity can cause it to cling to the surface and remain in a vertical position, rather than flowing down due to gravity. In the case of a surfactant, the molecule has a hydrophobic (water-repelling) end and a hydrophilic (water-attracting) end. When the surfactant is added to water, the hydrophobic ends tend to orient themselves at the liquid/air interface, reducing the surface tension, while the hydrophilic ends remain in the bulk of the solution, increasing the viscosity. This results in the surfactant solution having similar properties to soap solutions, allowing it to cling to a vertical surface and remain in a vertical position.

Magic Masking

Masking agents are substances that are incorporated into a softwashing solution to help mask or eliminate any offensive scents connected to the cleaning products being used. Masking agents come in a variety of forms and can be used for softwashing, including:

Fragrances: To cover up the strong stench that many softwashing chemicals have, which can be unpleasant, scents are frequently added to the solution. There are many different scents of fragrances, including citrus, lavender, and pine. Our Magic Masking has a fruit aroma similar to bubblegum.

While masking chemicals might make the softwashing process more enjoyable, it’s vital to remember that they should only be used occasionally. Using masking compounds excessively may produce an unpleasant odor or perhaps irritate nearby residents. In order to prevent any negative reactions, it’s also crucial to select a masking agent that is compatible with the other chemicals present in the softwashing solution.

True Blue Neutraliser

A neutraliser is used in the softwash business to restore the pH balance of a surface after it has been cleaned with a chemical solution. This is crucial because certain cleaning agents, such bleach or acidic cleaners, can leave behind a residue that is damaging to the surface and could eventually result in damage.

After the cleaning solution has been washed off, an alkaline solution is often sprayed over the surface as a neutraliser. The alkaline solution aids in bringing the pH level back to neutral by neutralising any leftover acidic residue on the surface.

The neutralising procedure helps to safeguard the surface and halt any further deterioration or damage. Also, it aids in ensuring that the surface is secure for use by both people and animals.

Overall, using a neutraliser is a crucial step in the softwash procedure since it ensures that surfaces are cleansed thoroughly and safeguarded from harm.
