DI Resin Systems

DI Resin Systems are water filtration systems that use resin to remove dissolved solids and minerals from water. The DI stands for “deionization”, which is the process of removing ions from water.

There are two main types of DI systems:

• Mixed bed
• Separate bed

Mixed bed systems:

Mixed bed systems use a mixture of cation and anion resin beads to remove both positively and negatively charged ions from water.

Separate bed systems:

Separate bed systems use separate cation and anion resin tanks, and the water is passed through each tank separately.

DI Resin Systems:

Commonly used in industries that require highly purified water and can be standalone units or part of a larger water treatment system. Typically, they require periodic replacement of the resin to maintain their effectiveness.

The lifespan of the resin depends on the quality of the water being treated and the volume of water being processed.
